Our values are reflected in our work.

Whether in development, manufacturing, assembly, after-sales service, and sales – or in our relationships with customers, suppliers, and employees.

Our mission

1. Our view of the customer

Our orders are based on our customers’ specific applications, requirements, and needs. Based on this, our Engineering department develops customized solutions for cable laying technology, railway technology, metalworking, trailer manufacturing, and power supply.

2. Our Approach to Quality

Quality is reflected in precise manufacturing, verifiable tolerances, and machines that perform flawlessly for decades under real-world conditions. Tibram demonstrates its commitment to quality through ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications, as well as the resulting marking authorization.

Quality, workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management are strictly governed by the management manual.

This commitment to improvement is particularly evident in two of Jost’s recent product developments: the winches for emission-free cable pulling and the hybrid emergency power supply system.

3. Our relationships with one another

We make decisions quickly, communicate openly, and evaluate new ideas as soon as they are technically feasible. The Tibram Group is a Swiss family-owned business. Short decision-making processes are therefore an integral part of our structure.

Partnership means taking the concerns of those we work with seriously – whether they are our customers, suppliers, or employees.

4. Our responsibility as an employer

We invest in apprentices and employees, as well as in machinery, tools, and infrastructure. At our Uetendorf facility, we train young talent in the fields of polymechanics and production mechanics.

Every day, we train our employees on how to safely use new tools, machines, and processes.

5. Our Approach

We operate within flat organizational structures with short decision-making chains. Three core business units, small teams, and no corporate bureaucracy: this ensures that accountability and decision-making remain closely linked.

Taking the initiative and personal responsibility are integral parts of how we work. We avoid any unnecessary administrative tasks.

6. Our independence

The Tibram Group is a privately held Swiss family-owned company that makes investment decisions with a long-term perspective and complete independence. We finance our investments using our own resources, prioritizing sustainable solutions, customer benefits, and environmental sustainability; the use of external financing remains the exception.

Spreading operations across three companies allows us to diversify risks across different markets, sectors, and technologies, and to reduce dependence on the economic cycles specific to each sector – for customers, suppliers, employees, and shareholders alike.

7. Our view of the environment

Our commitment to the environment is reflected in what we design, manufacture, and deliver, as well as where and how we do it: zero-emission and hybrid solutions, manufactured at our own facilities, with a certified environmental management system and traceable material lifecycles. Legal environmental requirements are the minimum standard for us. You can find information on how we put this into practice on the Sustainability page.

8. Our origins

Jost SA since 1876, Tibram SA since 1952, opdesign sa since 2011 – 150 years of Jost, 75 years of Tibram. For us, tradition is the result of decades of successful work.

9. Our Commitment

In addition to its own activities, the Tibram Group supports PluSport’s initiatives.

Reliable. Leading in technology.

For us, reliability is evident on three levels: in manufacturing, with controlled tolerances and material certificates; in collaboration, through short communication channels and a clear division of responsibilities; and in our structure, as a Swiss family-owned business with long-term, self-financing.

We demonstrate our technological expertise where it really counts: in real-world applications, ranging from cable laying to rail technology and metalworking, as well as hybrid power supply systems.
